Description
BOX FIRE BF7 is a preassembled module specially developed to integrate an open circuit solid fuel heat source (Fireplace without built-in circulation pump) to a house heating system normally feeded by an expansion tank Gas Boiler. The module separates the heating sources and manages the functionning of the Boiler based on the temperature of the Fireplace. Moreover, by means of a heat exchanger, it transfers efficiently the heat geneated by the Fireplace to the heating system. BF7 module can also heat up a HW Storage Tank: the hot water produced by the Fireplace is deviated from the heating circuit to the Tank by means of a 3-ways motorized diverting valve.
FDG2 control unit verifies contemporaneously Fireplace temperature (sensor St1) and HW Storage Tank temperature (sensor St2). If Tank temperature is below 50 °C and Fireplace temperature is higher than 30 °C, and at least 5 °C higher than the temperature of the Tank, circulation pump PTC starts and motorized diverting valve VD deviates the hot water to the Tank to heat it up.
Once the HW Storage Tank reached the preset value 50 °C, motorized diverting valve VD deviates Fireplace's flow back to the primary circuit of the heat exchanger IC6. If Fireplace temperature is higher than 70 °C, secondary circuit (heating plant) pump PIR starts and simultaneously boiler circulation pump is switched off. From that moment the fireplace heats up the house. All electric components are controlled by means of a control unit FDG.
