BOX FIRE BF3S is a pre-assembled thermal module that allows you to heat rooms using the hot water produced by a solid fuel open-vessel heat source (fireplace or heating stove with built-in circulator) and at the same time to produce instantaneous Domestic Hot Water through a 14 or 20-plate heat exchanger and a three-way diverter valve with DHW priority function on Heating. If the fireplace stove or heating stove is not equipped with a circulator, the module to be used is the one with the circulation pump (BF3).
When the temperature of the fireplace stove exceeds 30 °C, set on the FDG control unit, the PTC circulation pump of the fireplace stove starts up. When the temperature exceeds a second value of 40 °C, which can also be set, and in the event of a DHW withdrawal detected by the FX flow switch, the VD motorised three-way valve diverts the flow of hot water from the fireplace stove to the primary circuit of the IC8 plate heat exchanger for the rapid production of DHW. The combined action of the VD diverter valve and the FX flow switch guarantees the priority of DHW production over the heating function.
