Description
The De Pala thermostatic mixing valve of the EASY MIX series offers a high level of performance in medium and low temperature heating circuits. The specific design allows a very flexible use, thus defining it as a "full range" mixer: from radiators, to fan coils (with set point up to 60°C) to radiant systems, finding application in both traditional underfloor and innovative ceiling and wall systems.
The possibility of setting operating temperatures even below 30°C, or at very low set points, allows the system to always be maintained at the correct and continuous temperature even with low thermal loads, guaranteeing a high level of environmental comfort and energy saving. In this case, the optimal operating range is from 25° to 55°C. Values that include the most different set points in residential radiant applications.
The internal thermostatic element, containing a special temperature-sensitive wax, reacts to the temperature of the water by expanding or contracting. These movements are transferred to an integral shutter that partializes the hot water inlet from the heat generator and the cold water return from the system, depending precisely on the temperature of the mixed flow passing through the element.
The mixed temperature in this way is kept constant and any deviations from the desired set point, caused by variations in the inlet temperatures, are immediately corrected thanks to the extremely rapid reaction capacity of the heat-sensitive wax. A practical graduated knob allows the set point temperature of the mixed flow to be set. An equally simple and ingenious red locking ring allows the knob to be locked, without the aid of tools or complicated procedures, in the position that the installer has foreseen for the system, preventing subsequent accidental setting or tampering.
